I’m Catherine Anderson, an independent consultant specialising in public and third sector service delivery. My role is to help organisations improve services and business efficiency and meet the needs and expectations of customers and clients. I work on both a consultancy and interim management basis.
Professional
Before setting up Anderson Power Consulting, I had a 35-year career covering every aspect of hospitality, accommodation and facilities management. My last employed position was at the University of Liverpool. Here, I spent six years as Director of Residential, Sport and Commercial Facilities. I then took on added responsibility for Facilities Management. Specific project responsibilities ranged from developing and implementing a £250m residential strategy to turning around the business operations of a botanical garden. Operational responsibilities included 30,000 weekly meal packages, nearly 1,000 staff, and a conference operation. A challenging industrial relations climate added further interest. Alongside this, I’ve worked to improve wider standards through Board/Executive Committee level involvement with the British Association of Cleaning in Higher Education (of which I was a founder member); the British Cleaning Council, and CUBO (College and University Business Officers). I’m particularly proud of winning the CUBO Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.Catherine’s credentials are amongst the most impressive in the sector:
